Top Social Networking Apps on iOS in Netherlands, Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the social networking landscape on iOS in the Netherlands showcased some interesting trends among the top five applications. This data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for apps like Threads, WhatsApp Messenger, Telegram Messenger, Facebook, and Google Meet.

Threads saw a notable increase in downloads, peaking at approximately 49.6K in the week of September 9. Weekly active users also trended upwards, starting from 518.7K at the beginning of July and reaching around 647.1K by the end of September.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a steady presence with downloads ranging from 9.8K to 18.9K throughout the quarter. Its weekly active users were remarkably stable, hovering around 5M, with minor fluctuations.

For Telegram Messenger, revenue showed a steady increase, reaching about $14.6K by the end of September. Downloads saw a gradual rise, peaking at 10.4K in mid-September, while weekly active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at approximately 596K.

Facebook experienced a slight increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, reaching 7.4K in mid-September. Revenue fluctuated, peaking at $7.1K in early September, while active users saw a slight decrease from 1.27M to 1.23M over the quarter.

Finally, Google Meet exhibited a consistent rise in downloads, peaking at 7.9K in the last week of September. Weekly active users remained fairly stable, with minor increases and decreases throughout the quarter.
